I am a Los Angeles based Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

My intent is to listen deeply to understand, while creating a collaborative and safe relationship, allowing growth to take place. Psychotherapy is a space where you can explore all parts of yourself without judgement. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic principles, while integrating mindfulness and attachment-based modalities, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I will be curious and compassionate as we reflect on your past, consider the future, and navigate the present. Our time together can help you deepen your relationship with yourself, others and the world around you. I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and see it as a vehicle for change.

We all have different needs in life and in therapy. You might be experiencing anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, self-esteem issues, or a life transition - I will see the best in you, while challenging you to look deeper into your patterns and the role you might play in them.

If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed or just ready for a change, I'm here. To start, we will explore your experience, what you are looking for in a therapist, I can share my approach and answer any questions you may have. Together, we can see if it feels like a match.

Welcome.

Addison Golden Psychotherapy

Approach

Integrative

I draw from several modalities to guide our sessions, creating room for exploration and fluidity. I deeply believe in and value the mind-body connection. I will support you in building nervous-system awareness and explore emotions may arise in your body. My clients would say I am conversational, direct and informative.

Intentional

Healing often unfolds gradually, through time, trust, and commitment. Growth often comes with discomfort. Consistency helps us to build the tolerance and trust in ourselves so that we can be present and curious when challenging emotions arise.

Individualized

Sessions will be tailored to your unique needs. I tend to incorporate mindfulness, breathing exercises, and various other practices you can implement outside of the psychotherapy space. This will be your time, working towards your evolving needs and goals.
